iPhone Depression
Posted on June 26, 2007 | Filed Under Pointless Rambling
It saddens me that, even though the iPhone will be the best technology we’ve ever seen in a phone, it still has to be hooked to AT&T. Connecting the iPhone to the “New AT&T; You’re world delivered” is kind of like throwing a pass to T.O. with a broken finger. You can hit him in the numbers all day long, but he’s still gonna drop your call.

Sunday Night (?) from the Recliner
Posted on June 26, 2007 | Filed Under Sunday Night Updates, XL
Ok, it’s Tuesday morning for the Sunday night report, but here we go. God really showed up Sunday night. We had a crazy long weekend with the Music Festival and the multiplying chips and many of us were completely worn out. Then, to top it off, Sunday was the last message of our Money Series. It was the first night at XL that we actually talked about tithing and what God has planned for the money the HE gave to you. We learned that God ownes everything AND He promises us in Phil. 4:19 that He will provide for all of our needs. How awesome is it to know that the God that promises to provide for you ALSO owns everything you may ever need.Â
Sunday was also the first night we introduced the new “Donation Boxes” for XL. On our first night, people were obedient to God and we got a great amount of money given to provide for XL. God really amazed us. He is so huge!
So, thanks for being with us Sunday night and for all each of you do as a part of XL. Come see us this Sunday night because we have an incredible celebration planned. We’ll see you there.

Taco in a Bag, 2!
Posted on June 26, 2007 | Filed Under Pointless Rambling, XL
Wow, what a weekend. So, I told you about Friday night at the Music Festival. As of Friday night at midnight, we still had about 1200 bags of chips left. The amazing news is, after 24 more hours of music festival fun, we only had about 1100 bags of chips left. Our newspaper gave “raving reviews” about the numbers of people that showed up for the festival. All I know is those people DID NOT EAT MANY TACO’S IN A BAG!!! Don Chartrand, from Canada, suggested that maybe his brother should come to town and help us. He’s the guy that gave us the idea. Well, we may just have to call him. I mean, we have plenty of chips left over. So, come see us this Sunday night of you want to be a part of a huge party, and have some chips.

Taco in a Bag.
Posted on June 23, 2007 | Filed Under XL
So, tonight was the first night of the Northwest Georgia Music Festival. XL set up a booth to sell the hottest new item of all time, the “Taco in a Bag”. This is a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritoes with beef, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and salsa all thrown in there on top. They planned for 2500 people tonight. WOW! Maybe 500 showed up and only about 20 of them wanted to eat the wonderful Taco in a Bag. We have about 1100 bags of chips left. Well, here’s hoping tomorrow is a bigger, better day and people are hungry. Very hungry. For chips.
