Deal with it NOW!

If you have a problem with someone, or someone has a problem with you, deal with it now! The only thing that comes from having a problem and not dealing with it is more problems. Trust me, I know!

I’m Baaaack!
Posted on June 19, 2007 | Filed Under Pointless Rambling, What I'm learning, XL
Well, it’s been way too long since I took time to blog. I know that both of you that read this have been very disappointed. However, it’s been pretty crazy since that last time I got to write anything. Let me give you a few minutes of what is going on in my world.
Tiffany and I took the girls and went to Texas for a few days. I left them there and flew to Canada for a mission trip.  That was awesome. We’re really building some great relationships up there. Then, I flew home to teach at XL that Sunday night. God did amazing things and we had 4 men give their lives to Christ that night. WOW!!! Then, I work for a week and then leave Monday morning at 3:30AM to take our Youth Ministry to Camp. If you don’t know, we lost our Youth Minister about 3 months ago, so Moe and I are filling in and helping out as much as we can. That’s how I ended up at camp. We got home Friday (great week by the way) afternoon. I mowed the yard on Saturday and went back to XL Sunday night. Then, this past Monday morning we started VBS at West Rome. WOW!!! I’m about done.
Just to help it all get even better, our Administrator, and one of my best friends, Moe, has taken a job at the University of Texas. He will be leaving on July 1. Jerry Lee is already being trained to take Moe’s place, but I’m sure there will be a little stress during this transition.Â
As most of you know, I am on staff as an Associate Pastor and West Rome Baptist here in Rome, along with being the Lead Pastor of XL. It is becoming a pretty huge task to do both of these. However, this is where God has me, so He will provide the energy and time to get it all done.
I did have one super encouraging thing happen yesterday. My friend Sammy, from XL wroter me a letter about a month ago. I actually got to sit down and read through the whole thing yesterday. It is amazing that God used that letter, from a month ago, to say exactly what I needed to hear yesterday. Our numbers have been down a little during the summer and yesterday was a little discouraging in a few areas. Sammy basically told me not to worry about how many people are coming because God has already used XL to meet his needs and He is using it to meet the needs of many others. It was pretty awesome to be reminded of what God is doing, eventhough I can’t always see it. God is still good!
So there’s my “I’m back rambling” for the night. Now I will step it up and get back to blogging on a normal basis so you guys can keep up with where we are.Â
By the way, if you haven’t seen the video of Week 3 of the “LifeSwap” series you must check it out at xlwired.com.

Family FINALLY Home
Posted on June 9, 2007 | Filed Under Family
My family finally got home last night about 10:00PM. They have been in Texas for about 2 weeks visiting all the relatives and friends. I am fired up because they’re back. This place was just way too quiet with all of them gone. Boy, did they fix that as soon as they came in. Tiffany’s Mom came back with them and then Tiffany had to take her back to the airport at 4:00AM this morning. Wow, how tired can she be???Â
Now, we get to spend one day “relaxing” and she leaves town tomorrow morning for Youth Camp. I get the privelege of staying here tomorrow and driving out with all the kids at 4:00AM Monday morning. Pray for us. We may need some rest when all of this is over.
