Sunday Night from the Recliner

Posted on January 27, 2008 | Filed Under Sunday Night Updates, XL

Wow, what a night. Yes, it is good to finally get to the recliner tonight. I am about as worn out as I can get. But, enough of that junk. Let’s talk about what God did tonight. Tonight was one of the nights that we share the Gospel Message at XL and then give people an opportunity to give their life to Jesus. We had 5 people give their life to Jesus tonight. THAT IS AWESOME!!! The coolest part is that one guy made the decision to do that even before we started. That is just amazing. One really cool part of this is that we didn’t do anything “special” tonight. We just shared what God can do in your life if you give Him a chance. We didn’t smash up a car and I wasn’t laying in a casket. Just the message and God used it.

I am so fired up for the 5 people that are part of God’s family tonight. They experienced the ultimate relolution tonight. That is what we’re about and that is why we do what we do. That makes it all worth it.

My Blog’s Blog

Yes, I did come back from lunch. I’ve just realized I can’t keep up with Jason so why try. I think he posted 40 things while I was at lunch.

However, some big news for you. As you know, when my blog was down it started it’s own blog to let us all know how he felt about being down so long. It seems as if my blog has decided to keep it’s own blog going. So I have added My Blog’s Blog to my Blogroll, just in case you want to check in to see what he has to say. He seems to be a little sarcastic, so be careful.

I’m not back from lunch yet.

Blogging like Jason

Now that my blog is back up and running, I’m gonna try to blog as often as Jason.

I’m going to lunch now. Just thought you might want to know.

WOW, it’s back!

Ok, for a while there I thought the blog was gone forever. However, through much hard work by people smarter than me, here we are again. What a day!

So, this week I had to fly to Texas to be with my family after the passing on of my Aunt Mary Ann. I got the humbling opportunity to be a part of the funeral ceremony. The four things I pointed out in the ceremony was that she loved God, golf, friends, and family. And, she did. She lived out her faith in Christ, she played golf with her husband (and best friend) every chance she got, she loved being with friends and she would have given anything at anytime for her family. She will be missed greatly. I ask that you pray for David, her husband, and the rest of the family as they go through this very difficult time. They know that God will get them through, but it’s still tough day to day.

Thanks.
