How We Say it!

I am stealing this quote off of Gary Lamb’s blog, which he got from Ed Young Jr. “Vegas has nothing to say, but they know how to say it. The church has everything to say, but typically doesn’t know how to say it.” That is awesome and so sad at the same time. It is true. The church today has the answer to every question ever asked. We just don’t usually know how to say it. Titus 2:10 tells us to make the teaching of the Gospel “attractive”. We better make sure we’re doing this every time we try to share it with someone. One thing we learn from the “Vegas” example is that it’s not just about what you’re saying, but how you say it.

Air Guitar Contest

As many of you know, this week at XL is the last week that BJ will be playing in the band for a while. In honor of the Great BJ, we will be hosting an Air Guitar Contest. Trust me, you WANT to sign up for this. It’s gonna be awesome!! And, if you sign up, I would make sure I brought my “A” game. I’m pretty sure Randy is planning on takin’ home the prize. New Believer’s Class

Hey Everybody,
We have something great taking off. We are starting a class for anyone that has recently given their life to Christ. We would love to have all of you that were baptized SuperBowl Sunday to check out this class. Here is all the low down about it.

Just let Floyd know if you’re coming and we’ll have it all set up for you.

Tiffany and I are off to the Biltmore

Thanks to a really great guy, Tiffany and I have a chance to go to North Carolina to the Biltmore tomorrow. We are fired up!!! Just the time away will be awesome. We are even looking forward to the drive so that we can spend the time to talk that we don’t get when we’re at home. Also, thanks to Gina, Daphne, and Pam for helping with the kids. You guys rock!!!
