Sunday Night from the Recliner (on Tuesday)

Posted on February 12, 2008 | Filed Under Sunday Night Updates

Well, Sunday was a pretty tough night. I think it was all good in the end but I think the message was a little less than it needed to be. Trust me, I know that is all my fault. Anyway, we had a pretty good crowd and still had some brand new people there learning about the plan that Jesus has for them. That is way the most important thing.

Something special was that Jonathan Bagwell came out of the sound booth and rocked the stage playing guitar for the night. I expect to see him up there a little more often. I think, this week, we’re gonna see Rick on the drums again. How cool is that?!!!

Make sure you bring your friends with you this week. It’s gonna be a great night.

Sunday Night from the Recliner

WOW what a day. Yes, we had 100′s of people show up tonight for the Superbowl party. There was food everywhere and people just packed into XL tonight. You literally could not walk around without bumping into someone. Tons of people worked hard, brought all kinds of food, and cleaned up the whole place. They were awesome.

Then, you have to be excited about the fact that we actually got to see a close Superbowl game. And, for me, I’m fired up because I was rooting for the Giants. Either way, it was a good game with some pretty good commercials. That always makes it good.

HOWEVER, this is where the coolest stuff is. WE BAPTIZED 14 PEOPLE TONIGHT!!!! You can talk all day about how great the game was and how hot the wings were, but we saw 14 people publically express their relationship with Christ. That is the best thing in the world. We will be looking forward to how we can help them grow and take their next steps toward being all that God has for them to be. I am so fired up!!!! It is our job to help them grow and we’re gonna see it happen.

Now, for the future… We’re starting a new series Sunday called “Undone”. It’s gonna be a great look at what God calls us to be and how He completes us when we give our lives to Him. Don’t miss one minute of it. God is really doing something special. You don’t want to miss that.

Thanks again for everyone that worked so hard to make tonight happen. You rock!!!!

Peace,
