My Hero: Jeremy Schwanbeck

Posted on May 23, 2007 | Filed Under Stuff About Rome

I have got to tell you about one of my new heroes in this world.  His name is Jeremy Schwanbeck.  He works for a place called Randstad.  His job is to find people jobs, and to find jobs people.  This is an amazing thing.  If you need someone to wash your car every Saturday afternoon, I’m sure Jeremy can find you someone that would love to do just that.  If you’re starting a new business here in Rome, and you need some great people to work for you, just give Jeremy a call.  I think he’s so cool that he might even come to work for you himself just to help you out.  I’m hoping he’ll be the one to come wash my truck.

I’m tellin’ ya, if you need people, Jeremy’s your man!

Young Professionals of Rome

I went to my first Young Professionals of Rome meeting last night at the Coosa Valley Country Club here in Rome.  This is a great group of people that work together to make sure the Young Professionals of Rome are up to date on what is happening in our city.  It is also a great time to have some great food and meet a lot of new people.  I know I met two attorneys last night so if I get into trouble I know where to go.  Anyway, it’s an event sponsored by my man “The Mick” and the Chamber of Commerce here in Rome.  The meeting we lead by a friend of mine named Steven McDowell, the owner of the Old Havana Cigar Bar on Broad Street.  He did a super job and it was a good event overall.  So, if you’re a young professional in town and would like to meet other people just like you, this might be for you.  You can email Steven off of his website or contact Mickey at the Chamber.  See ya there.
